Camouflage Collection for Fall 2010 by Prada

Military chic is all the rage for the Fall season, which has inspired Prada to create their new handbag line for the season to come. Personally I would have never imagined that one day world renowned fashion designers would be inspired to make their goods out of the globally recognizable prints of camouflage. The first to present these unexpected designs was the House of Vuitton with the collaboration of Takashi Murakami when they revealed to the world the Monogramouflage line.

Whether you believe it or not, the items became a hit instantly, which is proved by affection of celebrities to the idea. Now another fashion brand, I mean Prada, joins to the military concept. It may turn into a new trend for fall 2010, who knows. As part of the collection Prada designers offer several different styles, with some of them in 3 different camouflage color variations.

In the collection presented by Prada you can see Saffiano Camouflage Tote that is made of sturdy calfskin perfect for everyday wear. The tote is 17″ wide X 14″ high X 7″ deep, it features a 4½” double top handle and a 9″-12″ detachable shoulder strap. Saffiano Camouflage Tote is fully lined with signature jacquard, it sports metal feet, snap closure, two inside zippers, two open pockets.

The tote bag looks quite interesting. This tote is not too military yet it is perfectly styled to sport camouflage with the rigid shape. The handle proportions are just right - feminine and ladylike so you can wear this with your flouncy as well as sporty. It is still quite specific and obviously trendy but it is really pricey. You can purchase it via the Internet for $2,495.

Well, I cannot say that I am thrilled by the trend, I do not think that military camouflage can be chic anyway. And what do you think?

Every brand features its own special signature that differs it from others. Talking about Chloe I tend to think about its luxurious bags that are simplistic yet awesome and trendy. Let’s take a look at the latest handbag collection of the brand.

Personally I fell in love with Ethel hobo by Chloe. The hobo is made of lambskin in light brown hue. The bag has two folds at the front part and a small Chloe label. A short shoulder strap has buckles at both ends.

Nearby you can see a petite Ethel. It differs a lot from its bigger version. Metallic buckles are placed on the front part and two folds go along the entire surface. Besides, the small Ethel has a removable strap.

Recently a new handbag line was unveiled by a handbag guru Rebecca Minkoff who worked for Saks Fifth Avenue brand. The collection is unique, fresh, expressive and trendy. According to Rebecca herself, she was glad to cooperate with Saks Fifth Avenue as the brand has an awesome reputation, superior quality and timeless luxury.

Unlike her previous bag lines, this one is aimed not only at a usual range of customers but also at young Saks shoppers. That is why the designer has introduced new shapes, designs and styles.

The distinctive feature of Rebecca Minkoff is the choice of unusual materials. This collection is not an exception. The quality of materials used for the new collection is first rate – picked calf skin or lizard leather embellished with real gold hardware. Could you believe that handbags, totes and purses can be trimmed with precious materials?! But I personally love a fabulous combination of luxurious leather and gold.

Due to unique design and creative approach to her work Rebecca has attracted attention of some celebrities, for example, Agyness Deyn, Rachel Bilson, Alexa Chung, Blake Lively, Leighton Weister and others.

Cody Kondo, the vice president and general manager for Saks Fifth Avenue said that handbags designed by Rebecca Minkoff had always been on the peak of popularity. She expressed confidence in success of the collection and said that they valued Rebecca’s willingness to cooperate with the brand.

The collection comprises of handbags with exclusive shapes, new color plays and designer ideas. In the collection there will be presented among others drawstring bucket bags, side-saddle messenger bags in zig zag patchwork skins and oversized classic totes.

However, if you got interested in the hadbag collection you will be supposed to pay from $ 550 to $ 2000. As a rule Rebecca’s bags are never over $ 700, so customers will have to think twice before the next purchase.
