One of the micro trends for this year is handbags worn on waist. Dolce&Gabbana designers made use of this trend and launched the new Dolce & Gabbana collection of belts featuring little purses on them to replace traditional buckles.
Such belts became an excellent addition to Dolce & Gabbana collection of semi-transparent dresses made of black lace and the ones with colorful prints. Note that belt purses can be worn with standard handbags - the models are carrying bright clutches and bags from Miss Sicily. Only bear in mind that accessories mustn’t contradict with each other. For instance, Dolce&Gabbana show stylists combined black and white belt purses with glamorous handbags.
Dolce & Gabbana Collection of belt purses includes belts with two and three tiny purses on them, the purses being differently colored. Such “double” accessories can be seen in other Dolce & Gabbana collections. There were handbags with additional pockets for coins as well as clutches consisting of separate handbags. The latter you can as well find in Dolce & Gabbana collection for Fall-Winter 2011/12.
The belts from 2011/2012 Dolce & Gabbana collection are made from elastane fibres and nappa leather while the purses are made from leather or fur. The coin holders are fastened to the belt with the help of leather loops and can be freely moved and fixed in different places for your convenience.
Although the new belt purses perform the function of coin holders they can be used as well for carrying a lipstick, a pocket mirror or a plastic card. The price for them makes €400.
