Oh, women! Strange, charming, unpredictable…And do you know, what reveals the veiled soul of a woman best? Of course her bag and its content!
Some time ago a research company decided to carry out a poll among the women between 16 and 45 years of age. The main criteria for the choice was their really feminine, gentle and elegant outlook. The essence of the poll was the following: to learn, what these women always have in their bags and how is their choice predetermined. The results of the poll appeared to be quite amusing.
Strange, charming, unpredictable women, that are known for their emotionality and non-logical thinking, looked very down-to-earth in this respect. When the women answered the question “Which are the three main features, an item should possess to be put in your bag?”, that preferences spread as follows:
On the first place were named such characteristics as functionality (20%), being stylish and fashionable (16%), brightness (5%), small weight (0%)/
On the second place the women rated being compact (10%), being stylish and fashionable (8%), functionality (5%), lightness (1%), brightness (1%).
The third on the list were such features as lightness (14%), being compact (12%), being stylish and fashionable (6%), brightness (1%).
Of course the summary is too general for each woman to apply these result easily to herself. What is more, a woman’s individuality will change every rule. Though, it seems to us, the poll was not useless. Many of the women will agree with the results. And for men this can be shocking truth!

Big bags still remain actual and trendy. Women adore such bags, for they have enough space for many things to be put in.
However, since the fashion designers had proclaimed big bags as a new trend, women, that have constant headaches or suffer from spine problems, started to turn to the doctors more often.
It is not unusual, when a bag, a woman takes to her work with her, has the weight of three or even four kilograms. Carrying such weight brings no benefits for a woman’s health. If the bag in addition has long belts, than a purse turns into an albatross on the neck – though not on the neck, but on the fragile woman’s shoulder. Long belts increase the pressure on a shoulder, and thus a fashionable bag appears to be a threat for a woman’s spine.
According to Jane Sadler, a practice family doctor from Baylor medical centre in Texas, more and more women, that choose bags with longer belts, complain about constant and increasing headaches and pains in the neck. William Keis, a private pediatrician from Houston, Texas, adds to this, that carrying such bags regularly can result into serious spine problems.
Doctors believe, that a heavy bag hanging on one’s shoulder transforms the normal posture of the body. This causes dizziness and pains in one’s spine. The specialists in medicine consider the bags not heavier than two kilograms to be safe.

For a long time a bag has been not only fulfilling its practical tasks, but has turned into a stylish accessory, that can underline the taste of the owner. According to the latest fashion tendencies, a bag does not have to correspond to the colour of shoes, but nevertheless the number of bags in our wardrobes does not decrease. No matter, how many bags you have, you will always want some more.
Expensive designer bags are the hidden desire of all the most elegant fashion-lovers. Such a bag does not only indicate your taste, but highlight you status. Though not all of us have an opportunity to buy such a bag, it seems to be impossible to name a single woman, that has never browsed through designers bags in desperate desire to buy this, or that, or something like this or that.
By the way, have you noticed that the celebrities seldom appear on public with one and the same bag? Daily Mail quotes some data about how much have celebrity fashion-lovers spent on their bags. The data for the previous six months is the following:
- the wife of the famous football player and the “Spice Girls” singer Victoria Beckham – about $47 000
- the wife of a famous football player and the owner of a skin-care line Coleen McLoughlin – nearly $38 500
- super-model Kate Moss – the sum of $23 000
- Australian pop-star Kylie Minogue – about $19 000
- Hollywood actress and model Sienna Miller – nearly $17 000.
Think twice than , before buying a new bag. Does the chance to look perfectly beautiful once deserve so much money to be paid?
